Register for Adult Theater Jazz Dance Class!

Mondays, Spring 2024: April 8, 15, 22, 29 May 6, 13, 20, 27 June 3, 10, 17, 24

Join us at Arc Stages for Theatre Jazz Dance!

Class will consist of a warm-up, strength & conditioning exercises, across-the-floor progressions, and a new dance combo from a musical. We will explore a variety of styles, expand our abilities as moving story-tellers, and undoubtedly, get sweaty & have fun!
If you’re looking for exercise, community, and to add *spice* to your weekly routine, we hope that you will join us.
Suited for adults with ALL LEVELS of dance and a genuine desire to move!

Space is limited -- Fitwear & jazz shoes recommended (socks or lightweight gym shoes also work)


Catherine Hamilton is a New York City-based performer, choreographer, and teacher. Her diverse artistic career spans to many corners of the world and is led by her strong background in dance & musical theater.

Catherine’s career highlights include performing at Carnegie Hall in concert with Michael Feinstein & The Honey Taps, dancing alongside Sam Rockwell on Saturday Night Live, and playing the role of Margot for many years in Susan Stroman’s revival of The Merry Widow at both Lincoln Center & Lyric Opera Chicago.

Catherine has danced in many performances at the Met, New York City Center, The Rainbow Room & Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, as well as appeared in New York Fashion Week for Hermès, local & international ad campaigns, voiceovers, and short films. She has toured the US performing with The Honey Taps and internationally as a Principal Singer/Dancer for Norwegian Cruiseline.

As a creative, Catherine has staged and choreographed several productions with Lyric Theatre at Illinois, Marymount Manhattan College, and The Marymount School including Parade, Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Merry Widow, Fame, Peter Pan, and Shakespeare’s The Twelfth Night.

She has taught dance technique all over the NYC area and currently resides on faculty at Pleasantville’s Artistry Dance Project teaching ballet, tap, jazz & lyrical styles. Additionally, she is a Show Director for RWS Entertainment Group.
