Explore the art of Tap Dance at Arc Stages!
Beginner Level: Wednesdays, 7 – 8 pm
This class is for adults who have studied tap dance previously, and have a firm grasp on the basic steps. Class focuses on vocabulary, rhythm, syncopation, and dynamics in a supportive and friendly environment. Tap shoes required.

Julie Connors Grunspan has appeared on Broadway in the original casts of Thoroughly Modern Millie, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Never Gonna Dance, and The Apple Tree (Revival). Her tapping feet can be heard on the Thoroughly Modern Millie original cast album as well as Sherry! The Broadway Musical world premiere cast recording. Julie has studied tap in Northern California, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, London, and NYC with teaching artists Carlos Jones, Tobias Tak, Henry LeTang, Phil Black, Bob Audy, and Ray Hesselink. She has contributed tap education and choreography to various theatrical groups and schools including Backstage Academy of Dance, Academy 331, UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television; UCLA’s Musical Theatre Workshop, and Pleasantville Middle School. Julie holds a B.A. in Sociology from UCLA. She lives in Pleasantville, NY with her husband and two daughters.
